Start a Return — Computer Orbit

At Computer Orbit, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with every purchase. If you are not fully satisfied with your product, you may be eligible to return it under the terms outlined below. This policy complements your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Please note that while we offer a returns policy for your peace of mind, goods are not sold on a trial basis. Returns must comply with the terms and conditions outlined below.

Standard Returns (e.g., Change of Mind, Incompatible, etc.)

For purchases made online or in-store, the Consumer Contracts Regulations grant you a cooling-off period for online purchases, and we extend the same policy to in-store purchases. Here’s how it applies:

Standard Products (e.g., PC Components and Peripherals):

  • Timeframe: You have 14 days from delivery (for online orders) or 14 days from the date of purchase (for in-store purchases) to open a return to inform us of your intent to cancel and return the product for a full refund.
  • Return Window: After opening a return, you have an additional 14 days to send it back (for online orders) or return it to the store (for in-store purchases).
  • How to Return: Use the portal below to obtain a returns form (for online orders), or bring the item to our store with your receipt (for in-store purchases).
  • Condition & Handling Charge:
    • The product must be in its original, unused condition and include all packaging and accessories to qualify for a full refund.
    • Items with signs of use or damaged/partially missing packaging may have a handling charge of up to 25% applied at our discretion to reflect the reduction in resale value.
    • Items returned in poor condition or lacking important accessories or parts may be refused altogether or subject to a greater handling charge, depending on the extent of the deficiency.
  • Shipping Costs: You are responsible for return shipping costs (for online orders) or travel costs (for in-store returns).

Custom-Built PCs and Custom Keyboards:

As these are made to your specifications, the cooling-off period does not apply (whether purchased online or in-store). Returns are only accepted if the PC or keyboard is faulty (see Faulty Products tab).

Processing time and Refunds

  • Processing Time: Once received at our warehouse, returns are usually processed within 5-7 working days. However, if your return requires further testing or investigation, this may take longer.
  • Refunds (if applicable): Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Your refund may take an additional 4-7 working days to be processed by your bank.

Faulty Returns

If your product is faulty, we offer the following options:

Within 30 Days of Purchase:

  • You may return the product for a repair, replacement, or full refund—whichever you prefer.
  • We recommend contacting our support team first at help@computerorbit.com for assistance. Alternatively, if you are confident the item is faulty, use the portal below to obtain an RMA number.
  • You will need to cover the initial return shipping costs yourself.
  • Once we receive and test the item, and our returns team confirms it’s faulty, we can refund the return delivery cost (up to a maximum of £8).
  • To claim this refund, provide a copy of your return postage receipt—or confirm if you used our optional £5 return label service (available for some products)—after receiving an email confirmation that the product is faulty.

After 30 Days:

You can return the product for a repair or replacement under the manufacturer’s warranty. Please contact our support team for assistance with warranty claims at help@computerorbit.com.

If No Fault Is Found:

If no faults are found and our testing finds the item to be in perfect working order:

  • Within 14 days of purchase: We will arrange to ship the item back to you, in which a re-shipping fee will be charged. Alternatively, if you change your mind on the item, you can opt to return the item for a refund under the non-faulty return policy (see Standard Returns tab).
  • After 14 days: We will arrange to ship the item back to you, in which a re-shipping fee will be charged.

Custom-Built PCs and Custom Keyboards:

If a custom-built PC or keyboard is faulty, we will first attempt to repair it. The solution will vary depending on the nature of the problem. If repair is not possible, alternative resolutions will be considered. Returns for change of mind are not accepted for custom-built items. If you are experiencing issues, please contact our support team at help@computerorbit.com for assistance.

Exclusions:

For all products, we are not liable for faults or damage caused by:

  • Buyer's negligence, misuse of the product, or user-inflicted damage.
  • Customisation or modification without authorisation.
  • Actions that exceed the product's specifications, such as overclocking.
  • Any other actions that void the manufacturer’s warranty.

Damaged on Arrival

If your product arrives damaged, please follow these steps:

  1. Inspect the Product: Check your order as soon as it arrives to identify any damage.
  2. Take Photos: Capture clear photos of the damaged item(s) and the packaging.
  3. Report and Contact Us: Within 7 days of receiving your order, contact us via email and attach photos to help@computerorbit.com along with your order details to report the damage.
  4. Keep Everything: Retain all packaging, accessories, and documentation that came with the product. Do not dispose of or throw away anything, as these items may be needed for inspection or return processing.
  5. Await Instructions: We’ll respond with next steps, including arrangements for returns or replacements as necessary.

Clearance

Graded, clearance, and refurbished items may be excluded from the standard returns policy outlined above. For details on returning a specific graded, clearance, or refurbished item, please contact our customer service team at help@computerorbit.com.
